We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We wanted to do the partial Panama Canal and we wanted to leave from Florida as that is more convenient for us. Our balcony cabin C418 was in a perfect location for us. We prefer to be mid ship. We were close to the stairway which is what we like as we try not to use the elevators, we want the exercise of walking up and down the stairs. The cruise director and the staff were outstanding. We thought there were many activities to choose from on the ship. We also enjoyed the entertainment on board , we went to many of the shows. We thought the food choices were good and we liked the food. However Anytime Dining was awful. If you did not want to wait an hour in line, you had to call at 8 a.m. and try to get a reservation. There is really no Anytime Dining as you could only get a reservation for 5:30 or 7:30. They need to change the Bordeaux Dining Room to traditional dining times. We also enjoyed the excursions that were offered by Princess. Our favorite was the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica. We have been on many cruises and many excursions and this one was on the top of our list. We also enjoyed the train in Panama. Another problem on the ship was that it was too warm. We definitely would have preferred a lower temperature in our cabin and other areas of the ship. All in all we really enjoyed the cruise, it was our first time on Princess.

Cabin B1

Perfect location for us, cabins above and below us. Mid ship cabin which was close to the stairway.

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Spain)

We went on a walking excursion but much of the time was spent on the bus.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

I did not get off the ship as I caught a cold, and have been to this port many times. My husband got off for a short time.

Aruba

Not very much time in port. If you are an early riser that is okay but we like to relax and not rush when we are on vacation. We just walked around and shopped.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Have been here many times, we just stayed overnight before the cruise at a very nice LaQuinta. After the cruise we went straight to the airport.
