We were happy not to fly to get to or from the cruise. If we do this again, we would look for alternative parking instead of at the port. It cost $340.00 to park! The cruise appealed to a lot of folks with mobility issues (probably because of no flying for people in the LA basin) and it took several hours to board the ship. During the cruise, the halls and elevators were often crowded with walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters. It appears that Princess is appealing to this segment of the population. Although I am happy that cruising is an option for people with mobility issues, there were times that this crowding became tiresome. We often felt we were in a floating retirement center.
The itinerary was good, and we enjoyed all the ports. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the outdoor theater. We chose not to use any of the Princess-organized land tours. The price has gone up steeply over the years and we prefer to do our own land tours for at least half the cost. We probably would not choose to do this itinerary again.
