This is a stunning ship and the service is great. The big disapointment was the food, both in the dining room and the buffet looks delicious but all of it tastes terrible, with no flavor! Absolutely the worst cruise food ever. Seriously! Many other passengers we spoke with said the same thing. This is the worst type of institutional food of the lowest quality and all very poorly cooked. The meats were the cheapest possible and dry, overcooked and rubbery. The sauces were bland and simply poured over the foods at the last minute rather than the food being cooked with the sauces. The desserts were dry, cheap sugary junk, mostly even worse than hospital food! However, they make the food look wonderful! it is all artfully displayed but may as well be plastic. Terrible experience with Shore Excursions Aboard. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER and for last time NEVER take excursion: Jaguar Truck Mayan Adventure Expedition at Costa Maya. Tour Code: CM97.
