Almost everything about this cruise was wonderful. The ship is beautiful. The food, service and entertainment were all very good. We liked the new restaurant, Pacific Rim, and thought the expanded menu in Compass Rose was an improvement. We liked the food in Chartreuse better than the old Signatures. But we thought the menu in Sette Mari could use an update.

According to the RSSC website, one of the perks for staying in a Master or Grand suite is "VIP status to include dinner with the Captain." We stayed in a Master suite, but did not get invited to eat with the Captain. I asked for an explanation, but did not get one. Instead, we got a last-minute invitation to eat with the Staff Captain. Regent should remove this perk from its website if it does not intend to honor it.

Embarkation went smoothly and disembarkation was OK until we left the ship. In the past, Regent had numerous people directing passengers to the buses and the buses were clearly marked. But on our last 3 cruises, we received almost no help locating the right bus. We ended up on the wrong bus, but fortunately it went to the right airport. Apparently, Regent loses interest in you once you are off the ship.

Cabin Review

Master Suite

Master Suite was very nice. Balcony and second bedroom better than other Regent Master Suites. Living room seemed smaller than other Regent Master Suites, perhaps because grand piano was somewhat of an obstruction.
