I did this cruise with my family four adults and two teenagers the embarkation at MELBOURNE was a shambles long wait and very little direction from staff.we found our cabins to be well laid out although the bedding layout in the bacony cabin had to be changed to 2 single beds as booked not a double. Our dining experiences were that the buffet was well laid out but the food was mainly just warm to cold but at the othe end of the scale the dinning rooms excellent with top service and we looked forward to going to our evening meal of top food. entertainment i thought just average nothing to get excited about ,activities were good if you like art auctions nearly every day and pushy sales people, endless trivea quizzes and bingo nothing out of the box.in regard shore excursions again a hassle to get on and of the ship leaving very little time to explore for example by the time we were able to disembark we only had 4 hours in AUCKLAND .after Wellington we were advised by the captain that because of a storm that we would not be visitind any ports on the south island after one more stop at a tiny town called PICTON we had a 4 day cruise back to MELBOURNE with more of the same entertainment.
we hired a car for the day
