I sail regulary on carnival cruiselines and today i can honestly say this was my worst cruise ever. I sailed on the Carnival Liberty out of Port Canaveral Fl. to Nassau Bahama's, which was originally suppose to be the Carnival Valor. My cruise was booked from 12/15/2016 to 12/18/2016. my itinary was to be to sail on 12/15 out to sea and into the bahama's on 12/16/2016 arriving at 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m and then a fun day at sea. HA HA what a joke that turned out to be. Itinery changed from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m to 8:00 am until 3:00 p.m, then on the day of departure it was once again switched to 7:00 a.m until 3:00 p.m in the bahama's (anyone whos ever sailed to the bahama;s knows not 1 store there opens until 9:00 - 10:00 am) what to do for 2 hrs with nothing open at all. I received an email from Carnival stating that the Valor was replaced by the Liberty due to the fact that the Valor is a faster ship for the mexico run. Little were we told was that it was due to the Liberty being in dry dock for engine repairs and coundlt make the mexico run, so a switch was in order. The Liberty finally limped into Port Canaveral on 12/15/2016 at around 1:30 P.M totally empty of provisions. we finally started boarding at 6:30 p.m fully boarded at 10:30 pm. ( 1st day wasted ). Slot machines were offline until the following day around 2:30 p.m .( not really a big deal for some ).

For the good stuff now-- plumbing was totally messed up clogged drains in sinks and showers of over 2/3 the ship. alot of people complained of no water for the first 2 days and for those that did have water in their cabins well good luck getting hot water ! OH wait that was non existance. Numerous cabins had busted waterlines in the rooms causing flooding on over 19 cabins, electrical outlets were faulty some causing major sparking when plugging in any type of plug ( cell phone chargers-some alarm clocks-some curling irons ) to be told by maintance that it was faulty equiptment on behalf of the passangers. The only deck party that occured was on the final night at sea at 11:30 p.m until 2:00 a.m. Cabin stewards were on a 1 round day, you could pick either daytime service or nighttime service, nothing inbetween. The bar staff was wonderful to say the least and for the entertainment it was par for the course.

Today 12/18/2016 (day of debarkation) was to start at 8:00 a.m. They were finally able to conntect the gangplanks to the ship at 10:30 ( faulty equiptment once again) causing some travelers to miss connecting flights back home. A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND ABOARD THE CARNIVAL LIBERTY. I do understand that this entire cruise could have been a flux. Will it change my mind to sail with Carnival again ? No, but it did make me think twice about ever sailing on the Carnival Liberty again. BTW this was my Fiancee's first cruise and really put a sour taste in her mouth for cruising aboard Carnival. Had to reassure her that not all Carnival CruiseShips are the same ...

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

The cabin was par for Carnival Cruiseline (extended aft balcony cabin). Drainage for the sinks and showers were below par. took forever to drain. Was told by maintenance they were working on the issues. Some cabins had no hot water, some cabins had no water at all due to busted water pipes in their cabins.
