We had a wonderful time on Breakaway! Our overall experience was a very positive one. Though Breakaway is a huge ship, we were able to find quiet retreats with good views, and we had access to the shows and restaurants we wanted. It is advised to make reservations ahead of the cruise and print out deck plans. Expect to walk a lot, and take the stairs when you can (good exercise!).

Service in the restaurants, bars and entertainment was mostly very good. Staff was friendly and made an effort to accommodate us - for example, quick dinner service so we could get to the comedy show. Only our room steward was pretty poor - the room was clean, but he was rarely seen and would not communicate. The cabin was comfortable and we had a large balcony, which allowed for two lounge chairs in addition to the regular seats and table.

The ropes course and water slides were a lot of fun, and no lines on shore days. Cirque Jungle Fantasy was a high class production with talented performers.

Balcony Stateroom

Large balcony - like the extra room, but balcony above can look down on you and you look down onto the balcony below you.
