We picked the land and sea 11 day tour so we could appreciate Alaska's way of life as well as seeing animals in the wild and the ice glaciers. We accomplished everything we had wanted to see and do. Princess Cruise gave us a great experience on land and sea. They have their act together from the time you land and until you disembark. we purchased the meal ticket and saved a bundle. The food was great at every restaurants one the land portion. The bus tour rides were very good. The two Wilderness lodge rooms were comfortable. we took three excursions and got to see plenty of wildlife. The train ride back to the ship was long but scenic.

Can't say enough about our Captain. He was great about giving us heads up about seeing special things. He let us know when Orca whales were available to view. He also announced when the Northern lights were visible. After the Park Rangers were aboard he gained permission to enter The Johns Hopkins Glasier park area. This allowed us to get real close to the glacier. We heard the thunder type noise a glacier makes when it loses a chance of ice. For 11 days we were spoiled by excellent customer service from everyone on the Princess team. I have since recommended Princess to anyone who mentions they are considering taking an Alaskan cruise. The3 Princess team has everything figured out for you. All you have to do is show up.
