We chose this seven day Eastern Caribbean cruise because we liked the itinerary, the length of the criuise and we liked the Love Boat reputation lending itself to romance. We stayed the night before the cruise at the Hilton Marina which worked out well for us.
We purchased the all inclusive beverage package which included beer, wine, liquor, specialty coffee and bottled water. For us it was a good value since one drink price averaged about $9.
We visited Amber Cove in the DR for a few hours which was an adequate amount of time to check out the shops, visit the Sky View bar with it's beautiful view and the swim up bar. Drinks were an additional cost but fairly reasonable. Beer and wine selection was limited though.
We loved the more than adequate size of the cabin for the two of us. The room is below the sea walk and has a slightly larger angled balcony. The balcony was large enough for a foot rest and two lounge type mesh chairs in addition to a small table. The curtains were adequate for keeping out any light from the sea walk. The bathroom had adequate shelving for toiletries. And the shower had a shelf that was four inches and the width of the tub for shampoo, razors etc. in addition to a small shelf for soap. The closet separates the bedroom from the bathroom and included a a closet with a safe and multiple shelves. There were three two drawer night stands and a desk with additional drawers. Also a couch and a table were nice for watching pre-recorded info about ship events and enrichment lectures.
