We chose this cruise on the Eclipse to sail with other family members. We were all celebrating our retirement. We didn't know what to expect since it was our first time on Celebrity. We usually cruise with RCCL and are Diamond with them in their Crown & Anchor Society, so our status carried over as Elite with Celebrity's Captain's Club.

We chose a Sky Suite which is similar to a Junior Suite on RCCL, only larger. I will post a cabin review later. (It was excellent, by the way.) Being in a Suite enabled us to take advantage of Michael's Club for cocktails plus concierge services and Luminae Restaurant for dinners. We never once went to the main dining room. In Luminae, if we didn't like what was on the menu, we could still order off the MDR menu. For breakfast and lunch, we usually went to the buffet on Deck 14 where there was always something for everyone. A couple of times, we had room service deliver breakfast to our cabin, a nice luxury.

We took advantage of eating in two of the specialty restaurants, Murano and Tuscan Grille. Both were very good. In Murano my husband and I shared Chateaubriand for Two. It was delicious as was the Lobster Murano that I sampled from my brother-in-law's plate. At Tuscan Grille I had the best ever Rib Eye steak done perfectly!

Sky Suite 2

Cabin S2

This suite was wonderful! It was considerably larger than the Junior Suites on RCCL. It has a living room area and large king size bed. The bathroom is larger than most and has the best shower head over the tub that I have ever seen. They provide bathrobes, slippers, umbrella, binoculars, hair dryer and lighted magnifying mirror. The closets are good size and have a lot of hangers in them. There is also a safe in the closet and a mini refrigerator under the flat screen TV. (We had the mini bar items removed from the fridge so we could use it for what we wanted to.) On the balcony there are two lounge chairs with foot stools and a good size round table.

Our butler Budi was very cheerful and attentive. He just wanted to please us and he did. He would deliver breakfast room service whenever we ordered it. Wayan, our suite steward, did an excellent job of keeping our towels supplied, beds made up and room cleaned.

This suite is beneath the Oceanview Café (buffet), but we seldom heard any noise from above. The balcony has an overhang over it which limits view of the sky. I liked it because I am not a sun worshipper and it made us more in the shade. If you are traveling with friends or family in the suite next door, the steward can open the partition between the balconies. That is what we did.
