We took the Eclipse on a southern Caribbean cruise Nov 27. It was surprisingly hot in Aruba and Curacao. The other ports were better, temperature wise. We visited St. Lucia, Barbados, St Kitts, St. Maartin and Antigua. The new menu on the Eclipse was a nice improvement. No more beef cheeks!! This was our 4th Celebrity cruise this year and by far the best, food wise. The entertainment was better than most, with shows we actually enjoyed and that were new us. We ate at the buffet for most lunches and it was better than most cruises. Lunch in the dining room was good, but very slow. We had an excellent dinner at the italian themed specialty restaurant. The crab cakes were horrible....bread crumbs soaked in crab juice. The rest of the meal was excellent. The filet was a good as I have ever had anywhere. Lobster night was great, with lobster that was sweet, even if it was warm water lobster instead of cold water.
Our cabin was one of the best on the ship for the money. The cabin was average, but the veranda was about 12' X 15.' It was extra large as the cabins jut out at this point.
Better shopping than previous visits.
Shopping is the reason to go to St Maartin.
We paid $40 each for a 4 hour island tour.
We just wandered around the pro area. Nothing exceptional.
Nice area and good walking around the port. Very hot for us....nearly 90 degrees.
Very hot here to. About 90 degrees. Not worth spending 2 days here. We did not leave the ship on day 2.
Very poor experience enter the port and boarding the ship.
