I was a substitute on this family cruise for someone who had injured their knee and could not take the cruise. It was with my cousin and her family. I had never cruised with Princess before, mostly with Carnival and once with Hollarnd American.

We were all wearing t-shirts for boarding which said, I'm with Mom, I'm with Gandma, I'm with Cuz and of course one person was wearing a t-shirt that said "Mom" "Grandma" "Cos". All the people waiting in line with us were laughing and commenting and the photographer was great at getting a very nice group photo of us all in our T-shirts.

I was very impressed with the speed with which the line moved. It was a very short time before we were on the ship The ship in 2012, the Ruby, was fairly new and it was beautiful. There was a very different atmosphere than on Carnival. The cruisers were a little more mature and quieter.
