We boarded the Anthem of the Seas at Bayonne, N.J. embarkation was a snap. This was our first cruise. We booked a balcony cabin and it was more than we expected. Our first encounter with the Windjammer buffet was wonderful, there were so many food stations with a good variety of food offerings. Lunch was also quite fabulous too. The dinners in the Grande were beyond description and our waiters, Suchard (aka Richard) and his assistant Okmar were impeccable. Suffice it to say that it was a most enjoyable experience.
The shows were of top quality. We saw all three shows and they were magnificent. They were as good as any show on Broadway only smaller in scale. There were so many Activities on board, that we did not get to all of them. The Piano Bar with Gary at the keys was very relaxing. He knows every song both playing and singing. We also enjoyed the Horns at the Pub. They were very talented.
We enjoyed the hot tub at the Solarium, it was nice and warm after .coming on board the ship in Bayonne. The wait staff was most attentive to any of your wants or needs.
Cabin Review
Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Our cabin attendant was Luana De Pina. She was adorable and she kept our cabin in top condition. We never needed to ask for a change of towels. When ever we left our cabin and came back, the bed was made. I don't know how she new we were gone. She is an asset to the House Keeping Department of this ship, Anthem of the Seas.

I loved going to the straw market. The vendors are the same as when I went there 30 years ago. The Bahamian Kitchen and the Conch Chowder and Cracked Conch were the same as I remember, including the owner. She was so happy that we remembered her. She now has her daughter and grand daughter running the restaurant. She is so sweet. Great eats at this place right across from the Central Bank of Bahama. Go there and you will love it.
Bayonne (Cape Liberty)
What can I say about Bayonne. The Bridge needs to be fixed quickly.
