More sea than Hawaii on this cruise but we were aware of that. We were looking for a cruise where we could leave from a car approachable pier and arrive back to that same pier. Also looked for a cruise where we could come and go on sea days which we did: Bingo, reading on the balcony when it wasn't cold outside. We chose Traditional dining as we like to meet new people and that experience was delightful. Our waiter and asst. waiter were really great and made our voyage: no magic tricks or lots of conversation, just really good service.

We knew the cruise would probably be full of retired people as we fit that bill also. But we were really surprised to see so many folks in motorized scooters and wheelchairs. Princess is to be commended for making cruises so available for folks with disabilities but it does require lots of patience on the part of the other cruisers especially at the elevators.

We did not participate in many of the activities but there appeared to be many. I would like to see more talks on cultural and scientific issues much like Holland America creates.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

Cabin was in aft part of the ship right near the back elevator. It was especially convenient to the buffet and to dining room. Close to laundromat also. Never noisy from any direction. Big closet although it was tight between getting to the closet and to the bathroom...definitely one person at a time. Lighting was very good and mattress was very comfortable. Especially appreciated the space from the bedside to the sliding window to the balcony...a nice, although short, sofa. with room to stretch. Adequate plugs as well.
