After many years of hosting Thanksgiving dinners at our home, we decided it was our year for a break. The 5 day cruise to Cabo San Lucas was the perfect option for us given that we live less than a half hour from the LA port where this cruise originates. We are also fans of Princess having been on several cruises with them over the past 20+ years.

Embarkation was very easy and we were able to park adjacent to the terminal at a relatively nominal fee. Overall, we very much enjoyed the cruise. Our cabin (mini-suite) was in an excellent location on Dolphin Deck and as usual, we found it clean, well-maintained and comfortable. We always select traditional dining (second seating) and continue to enjoy this option. We like getting to know our wait staff and table mates over the 5 days versus going to anytme dining or other options that are available.

One thing we changed-up from prior cruises was to go to the sit-down, served breakfast in the dining room versus going to the Horizon Buffet. We very much enjoyed this change. It was more relaxing than carrying around a tray in the crowded buffet and in the end I think we ate less and enjoyed it more. We will continue this option on our next cruises.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

Good location on the ship. Clean and comfortable.

Port Reviews

Los Angeles

Embarkation location was very easy with ample, moderate cost parking adjacent.

Cabo San Lucas

One of the cleanest Mexican Port Locations but the number of "tour providers" "vendors" and other people who accost you along the port promenade was annoying. We have been here before so we opted not to take an excursion. To avoid the port experience we had, take an excursions such as snorkeling or other activity.
