My husband, and I booked this cruise back in April (2016). We were both first time cruisers and were excited to be going. All hell broke loose in November literally 3-4 weeks before we set sail when we received an email that they had shortened our cruise from a 4 night to a 3 night Bahamas Cruise due to Carnival repositioning the Valor to Galveston Texas and the Liberty to Port Canaveral. Once we received word of the itinerary change everything just seemed to get worse from lost reservations to refunded excursions (including Fast to the Fun). A week to go for our sail date and I wanted nothing more to do with Carnival at that point.

Fast Forward to Embarkation day and we get through security, check in and finally board and all the headache and drama that ensued the itinerary change seemed like a bad dream. All the staff was super friendly and helpful if you needed it. I always had someone smiling to me and wishing me a good morning on deck. We had the interior room and converted the twins to the king but the room was still too small, but nothing we couldn't handle, especially with the little amount of time we spent in the room. We never lasted more than an hour without a drink in our hand (made by our friend Gede at the atrium lobby bar. He hooked us up and was a great bar tender. Sadly we came back to reality and realized all the stress and headaches we were put through prior to our cruise was just a little bump in the road called life. In regards to the shortening of the cruise we were reimbursed for the price of one day, and were giving a $25 credit towards anything on board (including alcohol lol)....

Over all I just wanted to let everyone know that I swore I would never step foot on another Carnival ship again, I found myself to be highly pleased and we even have another carnival cruise getting ready to be booked for 2018. It was a lovely ship, with lovely crew who love to smile...

Cabin 4B

The room itself was tiny, but to be considered while booking an interior room. The bathroom was WAY tiny, but I do miss the gentle rocking that helped me sleep.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

This was our embarkation point. Easy to get too and nice view of the cruise ships leaving port

Freeport

Loved walking around the free port market. Very cool and interesting things to see and buy... oh and their coconut drinks are the BEST!!!

Nassau

Took a local taxi over to Paradise Island and spent 2 hours at the Atlantis resort, Taxi ride was 16$ for four people and the driver Jordan was hysterical...The Atlantis Resort was GORGEOUS, and had pretty good food and drinks to boot!
