Went on the Vista to see the new ship and came away disappointed. Embarkation in Miami was horrible taking two and one half hours. Everything seemed to run late including the safety drill, leaving ports, and some of the entertainment. My time dining was run very poorly, first you have to go upstairs to the checkin desk, then back down to the restaurant and wait 15 minutes more, and the service was the worst on any cruise we have been on, in fact we stopped going to the dining room and went to the marketplace instead. So many people came to dinner with shorts, tank tops, and baseball hats, even on formal night that it took away from the atmosphere, if they are going to have dress rules they should enforce them. The cruise director, Matt, was fantastic and the military appreciation event was very special. The ship is beautiful but there seemed to be a lot of trash left unattended and they did not clean the tables in the marketplace very quickly. The theater is laid out with moveable chairs so there was no really good seats and it is rather small for such a large ship. The ship has most of the amenities as those on the Breeze, which we loved, but because it is a larger ship the venues are inadequate to take care of the increased number of passengers, so we faced long lines wherever we went. Our stateroom attendant was great but much of the other service was poor to average at best. The ship is beautiful with great amenities so if the service gets better in may be a great ship.
We had an inside cabin which was fairly large and adequate for our needs. It was always kept clean and well stocked.
Getting to the port is easy with the new tunnel project.
Clean but not much there.
Clean new port, not much there.
