We chose to cruise on the Norwegian Jade out of Tampa as we have friends in that area who were traveling with us. Embarkation and disembarkation went fine. The ship was somewhat out of date but was not an issue for us. Our cabin was excellent as we upgraded to a "family stateroom". My husband is limited in mobility so the extra room was wonderful as we spent much time in our stateroom. Our butler "Walter" was awesome and he provided exceptional service as did our steward "Don. We enjoyed breakfast in our room every morning. We dined in Cagneys three times for lunch and twice for dinner. Those meals were wonderful. The times we dined in main dining rooms we were extremely disappointed in the quality of food. We ate twice in the Garden Cafe (buffet) for lunch and were also very unhappy with the quality of food. The time we socialized with friends we spent in the Atrium lounge where the drink service was very good as was the waiter/waitress service in all areas. We did not go on shore at any ports except a quick look at the Roatan port shops. We cruised several times on other lines, this was the absolutely the worst quality of food in general dining. Would not cruise again with NCL.
