We chose this particular cruise for the itinerary - we had never been to Turks & Caicos so we were excited about this port. We sailed Carnival because we are Platinum members and certainly enjoy the perks that status provides.
PRE-CRUISE:
We drove down from the the metro Atlanta area and stayed two days at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach. We spent one day at the Kennedy Space Center and were able to watch the Atlas V Rocket Launch. We had a great time exploring the Visitor Center and the Launch Pads. The Doubletree was right on the beach and the staff were the best! They also provide a 40% off parking voucher to use at the port, which was actually less expensive than their round-trip park-n-ride shuttle. I highly recommend taking advantage of that deal!
