We are long time Carnival cruisers, this being our 22nd cruise and all but 2 with them. Thus we had a pretty good idea of what to expect and Vista did not let us down. While there are some big changes from the normal layout, we adapted easily. The lobby is not the normal Carnival towering space, but a high tech LED display and only a few decks high. I did miss the atrium and its glass elevators to the top, but they added some new items like an IMAX and a 3D theatre. Dining was fun but the treat of reserved seating is going away being replaced by large anytime seating. For us older folks, we like the designated seating. The dining room staff was outstanding and we met once again the great MD Ken Burns, the singing gentleman. I was quite disappointed at the Liquid Lounge, being used to the large, well seated type on Breeze etc. The chairs were moving all over the place, the balcony too small and generally a mess. The staff seemed to be aware of this situation and suggested it may be changed in its first dry dock. These changes did not distract from an excellent cruise. We met staff from prior Carnival cruises and this made it even better. Looking forward to Horizon in 2018. The casino is way too smoky for us non-smokers so we did not visit it. We are from Ohio where smoking is not permitted in casino's so avoided Carnival's casino. This needs to change if they want our attendance there.

Very fine balcony cabin but not too different from other Carnival ships. Cabin service was outstanding as always
