As a wee retirement treat after nearly 40 years as a Firefighter decided to take my wife on another cruise for the first and will be the last time with Celebrity. Can say from start to finish we had nothing but issues. Rather than give you a daily account of my miserable cruise I shall list the Celebrity failures.
Soon as wee stepped on board was met by slightly aggressive Stewards as they tried to sell us upgrades and restaurant bookings. After a 13 hour long haul flight was the last thing we needed. Incidentally I upgraded my drinks package to Classic and booked two dinners the next day being the Tuscan Grill and La Quisine.
My Stateroom being 6007 was above the Crew Bar so had an endless stream of noise starting from midnight onwards. Reported the noise issue daily and nightly and was offered another cabin two days before disembarkation.
Cabin Review
Ocean View 6
Cabin was tired and dated but clean enough. En-suite tiled floor had cracked tiles and had signs of previous poor repair with grubby sealant but functional. Biggest problem was our cabin being above the Crew Bar and had constant noise issues. So do not pick 6007.
