This was our 10th Princess cruise and second time on the Regal. This cruise went very smooth from beginning to end. The Regal is not my favorite ship (The Ruby is my favorite because it has a swim in place pool that gives a swimmer a real swim. I do not swim on any other Princess ship because pools are just too small for a real swimmer.) Other down side on this ship is that there is no available center staircase. On the upside I love the set up in the Horizon Buffet and Horizon Café. The food here is very good with a great selection. I loved the fact that each day you could look to something different but always had a selection of Princess favorites you can choose from. The desert selection is great, love the separate pastry shop. Princess chocolate selections are fabulous especially the ice cream in the dining room and soft serve near the Horizon Café. Dining Room food was very good but I would like to see more selection for the specials that night. The buffet had lot's more selections for specialty items, and sometimes We were sorry not going to the buffet for dinner.

Service throughout the ship was excellent in all areas. No downside in any area. The entertainment in the Princess Theater has varied from cruise to cruise. This cruise, the entertainment was excellent. The current cruise director on this cruise was excellent, probably the best we have seen. We love the plaza area to sit, relax, read, watch classes and entertainment. They also serve some real good light eats, coffee and deserts in this area. We had a deluxe balcony on level eight. Rooms are little smaller than other ships but just fine. Bathroom slightly larger but can not be compared to the bathrooms on Holland America with the full bathtubs. Balcony quite small but fine for two people. No way to use it for more than two persons. Beds very comfortable. Love the TV on demand with the large flat screen TV. No need to go to Princess theater or theater under the stars for a good movie. Plenty to chose from. Took an easy Princess excursion at each port. Did not think very much of the Puerto Plata excursion, but St Thomas and Antigua was very good. Puerto Plata is really not a good port visit and will try to stay away from this stop on future cruises. To sum up enjoyed another Princess Cruise and will come back in the future.
