This was our first time on Carnival. We enjoyed the ship. I was there for a conference and my wife enjoyed some down time during the day. The suite we were in was very nice. Layout worked well. We only did one shore excursion with the cruise line and this was the Scuba dive in Grand Turk. This was well organized and we were very pleased with our dive experience. Equipment provided seemed a little old and wore down but everything was safe and worked well. We ate in the main dining room every night so we can not comment on the specialty restaurants. The food in the main dining room was very good. We also loved the Guy's Burgers. Buffet was very disappointing. Never had a problem finding a pool chair on any of our sea days. Hot tubs were always full. Probably the most disappointing thing was that I purchased the soda program. I found it very difficult and sometimes impossible to get a soda. I don't drink coffee and so I have a soda with breakfast. You can not find any location that serves drinks before 8 am. This was a problem for me because I had meetings to attend and had early breakfast and wasn't able to have a soda until later in the day. Once the bars opened you could get them but lines were long in most bars and I found the service to be less than par. Casino was a nice size and on most nights was busy but not too bad. The only night it seemed to be too much was the last night of the cruise. It was packed and so smokey. Overall Carnival was acceptable. Would I cruise on them again, probably not unless I was attending a function or going with a group.
