We had already had a nice long cruise earlier in the year but this one was too cheap to pass over. We had also cruised on Solstice in late 2015 after usually cruising Princess and found it refreshing to sail on a modern spacious ship with a younger passenger list. Ship's staff were very friendly, efficient and mostly went out of their way to help but in the Oceanview Buffet, we thought some were hesitant to serve us with tea of coffee. Food quality and presentation was excellent at most venues. We bought a Three Dinner Specialty Package which we would not do again. Silk Harvest was OK but food was ordinary. Murano quality and service was excellent but the waitress ignored our requests for small servings. Murano atmosphere was also diminished by the Maitre D allowing jeans and poloshirts in on an 'Evening Chic' dress code night. Tuscan Grille was outstanding in every way: service, quality and views down the ship's wake.

Embarkation at Singapore was unusually slow and confused, but that may have been a problem with Singapore port authority.

Tender services at Bali, Yorkies and Airlie were very slow leaving and returning. Other cruise ships do it better. We bought a ship's excursion in Bali and it was OK. We also bought bus shuttle tickets in Darwin which were disgracefully expensive for and 800 mter bus ride.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1C

Cabin 1C

Lots of room to move. Good size bathroom and balcony. Comfortable bed. Cabin steward and room service staff were great.
