My husband and I went on a 4-day cruise to Halifax on the Carnival Victory. It was my 3rd cruise, having previously sailed on Holland America's Rotterdam and RC's Monarch of the Seas. Overall, we had a marvelous time. Service was friendly and accommodating. Although the food was not up to the standards found on H.A. and R.C., it was very good, particularly the dinners, which included lobster tail, chateaubriand, and prime ribs, among other things. Our waiter was very eager to please and entertaining.

The shows were Vegas-style, and we also enjoyed the lounges with live music--piano, jazz, classical, pop. There were plenty of activities--the usual silly stuff presented by cruise directors, but lots of fun. The casinos were nice--I broke even, anyway. The ship was lovely, and had something for everyone. The passengers were mostly around their 30s and 40s, but there were all ages represented, and all seemed to be having a good time.
