We chose this cruise for our honeymoon because it was a cost friendly alternative to a destination but it allowed us to visit many awesome places. It was fabulous in every way. Our room was always clean and the steward was awesome. Every staff member was always so kind and fun. We went to many of the comedy shows and amber palace shows and they were all fantastic. We had anytime dining and ate at the sit down dining every night and the food was great and there was a variety of selections. The ship is a bit dated as our room was orange/pink but it is well maintained and clean. Embarkation and disembarkation was pretty smooth considering we went at the most popular times. We visited grand cayman, mahogany bay, belize, and cozumel and each port was fantastic and there were a variety of shore excursions to choose from. We would definitely travel on the Glory again. The cruise director Eric and comedy club manager Shae were absolutely fantastic and always made sure everyone was having a good time. This cruise is perfect for all ages, there was definitely a variety between small children and retirees.

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin 4F 7292
The colors are a bit outdated but that didn't bother my husband or I. There is plenty of storage in the closet and the bathroom. It didn't feel terribly small and it was perfectly located so that you can quickly walk to either side of the ship or to the lido deck without using the elavators.

Only issue was that the hair dryer provided isn't very good. I suggest bringing your own.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Belize City
We did this excursion because our snorkeling excursion was cancelled. This excursion took us down the river to see manatees, dolphins, iguanas, various birds, and alligators. we also got to learn a bit about the people who live on the river and the lifestyle of the people. It was interesting for the price and drinks were provided on the boat. The people who ran the excursion were fantastic.

This takes you in a submarine to see fish at the bottom and then the second half of the excursion you take a bus to the chocolate factory and tequila factory. The submarine was cool but it was a bit too long because looking at the same fish for an hour and a half got boring. The second half was much better as you got to see how Mayans used to live, the temple and ruins, how mayan chocolate is made (and taste it!) and see how tequila is made (and taste that too!). They also allowed you to go shopping to local vendors which were much cheaper than the ones by the port. I would highly recommend purchasing souvenirs fromt he local vendors.

  • Grand Cayman (Georgetown)
We went to the public beach and rented chairs and it was fantastic. It was $5 per person each way to get there and $10 per beach chair rental. Bring water and snacks if you don't want to pay the hefty prices at the bar. Save yourself the money and don't book the Tiki Beach Carnival excursion as the beach is beautiful everywehere on the 7 mile beach.

DO NOT BOOK and the relax on the beach package. It was packed with people and it is very unorganized. We purchased the package and never did receive our clam shell chairs and we ended up just leaving our stuff on the beach and taking a quick swim. The water front is definitely man made and very crowded. There were so many people in the water you couldn't swim and the water was extremely murky. Save your money and explor the island instead.
