I want to let any reader know that I've NEVER complained about any vacation. My family and I have been doing a cruise a year since 2002 and have always had an amazing time. I also want to note that I've cruised wtih Carnival in the past and had a really great experience and would maybe attempt another Carnival cruise just not on the Destiny.The service was amazing (especially in the dining room) mostly every worker always had a smile and always ready to help. The ship is very out-dated  but VERY CLEAN. ROOM: My husband and I booked a balcony room and were pretty disappointed with the room itself as well as the balcony as it was not very spacious. The bathrooms are set up horrible. Basically, while you're sitting on the toilet, your feet are in the shower!  The only highlight was the bed (very comfortable).FOOD: TERRIBLE quality for a cruise. I always look forward to the food on a cruise and I can't express enough how disappointed we all were. Breakfast on the "Lido Deck" was redundant and always overcrowded. The lines were ridiculous and we stood in line for at least 15 - 20 minutes. They actually ran out of syrup one morning!  We only went to the Lido two mornings, the toher mornings we hit the dining room where there weren't any lines-food still wasn't great but loved the service. Lunch was always the same - basic burgers or pizza. Dinner was a whole other story!!! The menu was limited and to be honest, I've never been on a cruise that offered Chicken and Turkey two nights in a row. Also, it was Diner quality food! The only steak offered was Flank (offered every night) and was very fatty. I'm not sure if the ship was overbooked, but even the common areas seemed too overcrowded. Hope this review was helpful.
