Cabin Review

Family Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin O2

Fantastic cabin! Firstly, this cabin category is located from Deck 9 to I think 14. There is only one on each deck, These cabins are huge. We were three adults and a 3-year old in this cabin and we had room to spare. There is a queen bed, a table with two chairs, and a ledge with plenty of room to sit and watch out the huge window that looks directly forward. There is a huge closed area near the bed with more storage then you will ever be able to use on a 7-day cruise. There is a large mirror and hairdryer is this part of the room as well. There is a second closet near the TV area that is also very spacious.

The sofa is tucked away in a separate room that has two ways to enter. There is a curtain that pulls across which completely separates this room and makes it great if you have children that want to sleep. There is a closet in this little room, a TV, mirror and hairdryer as well. The couch converts to a bed that is sufficiently large enough to fit two adults.

The bathroom of this cabin is very large. There are two sinks, a tub/shower combo and the toilet. There is lots of room to move around in here.

This cabin is located all the way forward. It is a bit of a walk from the forward elevators and an even further walk to your dining venues located all of the way aft. We however loved the exercise walking around to get to our cabin. This area of the ship is also very quiet. There was virtually very little noise.

There is only one thing I would share for anyone looking to book this room. If you suffer from motion sickness, you may not like this cabin. Even on nights that were very calm, the movement was felt very strongly in this cabin. Some nights it was a gentle role, and on nights with higher seas, there was a rougher role feeling with gentle up and down pitch when breaking through waves. I do not have any issues with motion sickness and my wife generally does not either, however she did take medication twice on this cruise due to slight nausea while in our cabin.

If you need a good motion sickness cure and are ever in the U.K. try to grab some Kwells. They are fantastic and work within 10 to 20 minutes with very few side effects.

Port Reviews

Tortola

We went to Cane Garden Bay Beach. We took a taxi for $8.00 per person each way. Children 4 and under were free. No fee to enter the beach. We paid $15.00 extra for two lounge chairs, an umbrella, and this also came with WIFI. There are numerous bars and restaurants. There is a small market where you can buy t-shirts, trinkets and souvenirs etc.

St. Thomas

We took a taxi to Megan's Bay Beach. It was $8.00 per person each way and $5.00 to enter the beach. In St. Thomas children paid the same taxi fare as adults. The beach was beautiful and very calm.

This beach area had bathrooms, showers, was very clean. There was a store, restaurant area and a bar.

Tip: Arrive early to get a picnic table under one of the trees near the beach!
