We have Cruised in Norwegian Boats twice before . We noted very poor Vegetarian choice of food. When available, it was not the quality expected from previous experiences. All we can say that what there was - turned out to be monotonous. All the breakfast jams etc had Corn Syrup - a sweetener not recommended due to possible cancer / diabetes connections. A fresh juice bar would have been appreciated. We did not have a drinks package, so were well and truly ripped off by the exorbitant prices. Nothing was "Duty Free". The mark up on every thing was a disgrace. Even the amazing request for an extra tip ---! Even a tiny bottle of water was confiscated on entering the Ship. The Ship's Shore Excursion prices were astronomical, when compared to booking a local operator. No one missed the Ship on these. Was US 15 dollars per person worth it - for the ship transfer to Zadar a couple of miles . Local taxis were very much cheaper. The theater performances were ear deafening - why was the band sound so high as to drown out the soloists? All the performances were ruined by the loud sound distortion. Why were there no "next Port" lectures - as to what to do, nor were any maps and proper news letters printed? The Windows Restaurant food - after the first few days, was very repetitive. The Ships daily service charges were not explained by the Reception staff. How much did the Laundry employees get as a percentage? No audited accounts of where the tips went was available. No doubt, is was 80% extra income to the Cruise Company and 20% to the crew. It is all this detail that the Cruiser notes and expects. Not a large cost to the Company. This is the very last Norwegian Cruise for us.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BC 10122
More or less as expected.
Why is there a standing lamp, when wall lights for night reading is all that is required.
The dressing table should have a much deeper drawer and another couple of wall sockets for modern electronic devices is now expected.
Cabin Steward did his best.
