We have looked at Oceania cruises and always thought they were a bit too expensive for us. We were sent details of a repositioning cruise from the Med to Miami at a great price with several freebies thrown in.... free wifi, free transfers, $1000 on board credit and a drink package so we gave in to temptation. Having completed the cruise on Riviera we are now spoiled for cruising with any other company!

We flew from Heathrow to Barcelona then had a shared transfer, arranged by our agent, which was not great. Having landed at 2pm we didn't get on board till after 4pm. Last boarding was 4.15 so we just squeaked in, phew.

We had no time to check out our cabin because it was time for safety drill. Just grabbed our life jackets after spotting our bottle of champagne chilling nicely in an ice bucket. A very nice welcome touch.

Cabin A2

Lovely cabin, bigger than a lot of others we have had. Full bath and separate shower. Nice Bulgari amenities provided.

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Spain)

Fantastic Roman remains an easy walk from the ship.

Malaga

Shuttle bus provided to take pax to the old town. An easy walk to the cathedral, Alcazaba and market. Great sherry and tapas available.

Madeira (Funchal)

Visited here many times. This time we met friends and had a delicious lunch in Hotel Escola. This is a training hotel, a short taxi ride out of Funchal. Buffet lunch is only €7.50.

King's Wharf

Lovely pink sand beaches, terrific Dark and Stormy cocktails and the dockyard is an interesting place to stroll round.

Nassau

Walked round town, next time would take a tour to see more of the island. Lots of souvenir shops. Conch at Arawak Cay is delicious.
