Oasis of the Seas Review

Worst customer service ever

Review for the Eastern Caribbean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

I have cruised a dozen or more times over the years and this is absolutely the worst cruise ever. The cruise was meant to be special for us because last year I was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer which had spread to my lymph system. Although a rapidly growing cancer I received aggressive chemo and radiation therapies at Moffitt Cancer Center, here in Tampa and, I am on my way to recovery, I hope. The cruise was to celebrate life with my younger wife ( I'll explain why that's an important point later) and my two young daughters, aged 5 and 3.

We had a couple of incidents with the photo people who were very rude and disrespectful, the chastised us for taking pictures on our cell phone. I mean chastised, not addressed or spoken to. We weren't even taking pictures of their special displays or backdrops, I was taking pictures of my kids in front of the Christmas tree and the car, both on permanent display. Not moments later, one of their staff was using a passengers cell phone to take HER pictures in front of the same display but, of course, she was a young woman, and I a man, my wife captured a video of him doing this.

My wife is significantly younger than me, I am 63, she is 30. Now the point from earlier, it would appear because of our age difference that the photo staff didn't place us together and, on a couple of occasions I watched the openly flirt with her, I mean full on hitting on her. I'm not an insecure man, and I am glad they find her attractive, but it was typical of their unprofessional service.
