This was our first cruise on MSC Divina. It was one of the most beautiful ships we have been on and the public areas were kept immaculately clean. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. You had to register your credit card when you got on board, it would have be easier to do it beforehand as on other cruise lines. You were not allowed to bring any wine on board either.
Our balcony cabin was adequate, however when I opened one of the drawers there was a Danish pastry left by a previous quest, no telling how long it was there. We ran out of soap in our bathroom and had to request the steward to supply us with more. The was black mold on the shower wall which was pretty gross.
We had dinner in the dinning room every evening, it was nice to get small portions so you did not leave the table feeling stuffed and you could always request more if still hungry. The worst part of the cruise was the wait staff in the dinning room, they acted like they were doing you a favor by serving you. I enjoy herb tea after dinner and had to go to the buffet to get my own tea bag because they didn't have it in the dinning room. We were never offered tea or coffee with our desert and one night after requesting it and it not arriving we were told "oh I forgot". Out of the seven nights we were only served our entrees hot one night. We did enjoy having a set time for dinner and sitting with the same people.
Need to remove black mold from shower. Cabin steward needs to check all drawers to make sure there is no food left behind, as in our cabin. Keep bathroom stocked with supplies.
Some good restaurants in South beach
Go to the visitors center and pick up a map of Old San Juan and do your own free self guided walking tour.
Okay beach within walking distance of ship.
