The Allure is a beautiful ship.

There is a lot to do. It is somewhat to spread out. For example, Navigator class ships have large movie screen poolside, which is nice 1-2 afternoons & evenings where as for Allure you have to go to the back of the ship (Aqua theater). Also events like Belly flop contest moved to Aqua theater. No one wants to go there just to watch that, Now when its at one of the main pools, a lot of participation (They only had 2 participants on the Allure). Windjammer was very crowded. We only ate there twice the entire cruise. Other alternatives were nice, Solarium Grill & Wipe-out cafe (breakfast & lunch). These 2 were really never crowded, good option. Also the Main dining room on 3rd floor is great for breakfast. Room service was always too early (requested 7:30 received a wake up call at 640 saying they were bringing it up). Ice cream by pool only available certain hours NOW.

Staff isnt very knowledgeable. Asked 1st day in Windjammer where the omelette station was and was told they dont have one. Later found out they do at the Wipe out cafe. They could also publish times in the daily paper for the flow rider & zip-line, open skating, etc. The sheet that we were given first day of the ship that listed the shows was incorrect. We were scheduled to see Mama Mia on day 3. We had prebooked, and even showed up on our daily itinerary in the stateroom. When we showed up for show with about 100 other guests we were told there were no more showings, Sorry they had a scheduling mess up in their computer system. They did try to make up for it by scheduling a private show for us in the Jazz on 4 venue where about 12 of the performers from the play sang for us some of their favorite songs. It was a nice event (they also provided free champagne during the show). The shows that we saw were very good (headliner, Blue Planet, Ice Games, Aqua-air-ia, comedian)

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin B2

We decided to try the interior balcony instead of ocean view. It was interesting. Noise was not a problem. But you need to be mindful and end up with the curtains closed alot. Will go back to ocean balcony (No one can see in your room).

Cabin was standard. Did like that they didnt have the refrigerator filled with mini-bar selections (but you could have if you wanted) so we could use for a bottle of wine or to bring a yogurt back from breakfast for later.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We took a cab to Paradise Beach Club. Really nice. $3 gets you chair, umbrella and a beautiful pool to use after your done with the beautiful ocean. Lunch was OK. Not hounded by vendors, hair braiders, massage folks, etc

Felt very comfortable there and thoroughly enjoyed

Would recommend

Falmouth

Waste of a port, stay on the ship

Labadee

Average day at the beach. With all the food brought in from the ship. RC's private island, things to do are way overpriced (over $100 to do the zip-line).

Would much rather stop at another port
