This cruise was entitled "Sumptuous Safaris" and had it not been for the pre cruise safari, which was the highlight of the trip, it would have been an absolute disaster.

On embarkation we were asked for our "yellow fever cards", which we didn't have and had not been requested to have by Regent. We were told that we should contact our GP and get copies emailed to us, and if we didn't we may not be able to get off the ship at some ports. Finally they said that we would be contacted by someone once on board. This never happened, so we never knew what the fuss was all about.

The ship didn't sail on schedule apparently due to bad weather so we had an extra day in Cape Town, we were left to our own devices. When we retuned to the ship there was a letter offering a tour around Cape Town, somewhat too late as it had already left 2 hours previously.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Suite

The cabin was excellent, good size, well appointed, comfortable bed, no problem whatsoever.
