My husband & I celebrated both of our 60th birthdays on the Breakaway. Our itinerary, Port Canaveral and the Bahamas were nothing to brag about. But, we were on this nice ship. So, we stayed aboard when it docked at Port Canaveral (poor decision - should have went to Coco beach) oh well. Still, we had a nice time just being on the ship. It's huge. Our room stewart, Laurence, was top-notch wonderful. Tipped him from the get go and we were taken care of throughout the entire trip. We didn't take in any of the shows, but we heard most were very good from the other passengers. We received two freebies - took the ultimate beverage package & ultimate dining package. No disappointments - both were wonderful. Cagney's had the best food & service, so we went there twice. La Cuccina was also very good. Due to the hurricane which hit the Bahamas just prior to our trip, we only docked in Nassau. UGH! Horrible. Got persuaded to take a cab to Cabbage beach. People at the dock and Cabbage beach would sell their own mothers if they could. KNOW what you want to do when in Nassau and don't make eye contact/or speak to anyone. They all just want your money. All in all, we had a great time.

Mini-Suite with Large Balcony

Cabin M6

BEWARE: Liked the room. Same size as a typical balcony room, but beautiful (bigger) bathroom: AND THE OTHER HUGE EXCEPTION - THE LARGE BALCONY. We couldn't wait to enjoy our bigger balcony. It was huge, but get this: It LEAKED THE ENTIRE TRIP, so we couldn't stay out on our balcony. Real nice. Just wish someone told us that you can't sit out there because of all the constant dripping. First day, beautiful weather, blue sky, we looked up and directly overhanging our balcony was the right side of the bridge. We saw "Huge" droplets (of what, we never found out, so that's kind of scary) kept pouring down on us. Complained to everyone - our room stewart, a supervisor, the Guest Services desk. Not a thing done. Believe me, the Breakaway knows very well about this problem and they don't care. They got our extra money though for this "Mini Suite."
