Chose this cruise as she, The Legend of the Seas has been sold and as a loyal RCL cruiser I could let her go without a farewell cruise.
I am fortunate enough to have sailed on this ship before and to have the opportunity to sail on her once more before she is passed over as she has been sold. I have noted that there are some changes since my last cruise just under a year ago.
I am going to miss having the lovey Legend of the Seas coming out of Brisbane as I note RCL have not as yet replaced her with another ship. I do hope they have another ship, perhaps the Radiance lined up to replace her in Brisbane There are a lot of Queensland cruisers who are don’t want to see RCL leave or have P&O dominate that market.
Royal Family Suite – two bedrooms, two bathrooms with separate hall and lounge. Balcony consists of table with 4 chairs. Can accommodate up to 8 people. I highly recommend this suite. It is located deck 8 next to the next cruise booking desk and has virtually no noise from above or below. Balcony access from 2 angles ensuring those with mobility issues can avail themselves of same. There is a Play Station in main living area; games can be sourced from Concierge for adult children or young children’s enjoyment. The suite is very spacious and so much storage I simply couldn’t fill it if I tried. Both bathrooms were immaculate with ample storage. Tea and coffee facilities are in situ, with kettle available on request. I had Stateroom Attendant Barretto Brixson. What can I say, can’t thank him enough; last time I was on the legend I had very poor suite service. Well this is certainly not the case here. He was exemplary, attentive, courteous, polite and most definitely one of the best stateroom attendants I have had the pleasure to meet. Well done to RCL for improving also in this area since my last trip.
Brisbane is an industrial port but has access to the Gold Coast and many parks and attractions.
