My wife and I were offered a free inside cabin by Casino At Seas for this cruise. We accepted and upgraded to an Ocean View Family Cabin. This was our first time sailing during a holiday. The itinerary included stops at Port Canaveral Florida, Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas. We have done this itinerary many times. We had a fabulous time. We love the Breakaway. Though it is large, it has much to offer. Once you learn your way around, the crowd does not cause any problems.

Embarkation was easy. Since we were with CAS we had priority boarding. We were able to drop off our carry on luggage right away. We had the ultimate beverage package and the dining package (3 dinners). Since we are both platinum level we also had two dinner for 2 at Le Bistro and La Cuccina. We ate in Cagney's, Le Bistro, La Cuccina twice, Moderno. The service was excellent in all specialty restaurants. Food was excellent. On Thanksgiving night we had dinner with a group from Cruise Critic in the Manhattan Room. Of course turkey was on the menu. It was excellent, as was the service. Most days we had breakfast in Savor/Taste. The first couple days the service was not that good. The wait time seemed long and their was confusion on some of the orders. But it did seem to get better later in the cruise. We had lunch in O'Sheehans a few times. The wings are excellent and service was good.

I made good use of the beverage package. During the day I would stop by the Waves Pool Bar (port side) for some draft New Castle and fireball shots. Service was great. Evenings were spent at Shakers and Maltings. Great Going Coconuts martini and great beer and whiskey at Maltings. Bartenders are great. In Port Canaveral we had free passes for Disney so we took the NCL shuttle to the park. I would not pay to go Disney since there is not enough time for it to be worth while. Read more
