This was our 3rd Azamara cruise and they did not dissappoint in any way! The food and service were excellent...the staff outstanding. Since the rehab, the Quest looks great. We particularly like the anytime dining and the table set up...mostly small tables so couples can sit alone if they wish, or at larger tables if they prefer. The entertainment was very good, and the new Living Room Lounge, where thery serve tapas much of the day, is very, very nice. We did 4 shore excursions in 5 ports. 3 were excellent; 1 had a transportation snafu and they refunded 30%. Azamara has some unique excursions - in St Maarten we went on a Heritage Tour where we went to a private home to meet with a local artist/historian who served us Guavaberry Rum along with the pleasant and interesting conversation. Then in St Barts, we went on a guided ATV tour of the island. What a great way to experience St Barts. in Nevis, we went on a typical (but excellent) island tour. The only not so great excursion was a swim and sail outing on the Schooner Eldorado. The weather turned against us and there was a delay with the launch getting us to the 140 ft sailboat. The schooner is nice, but did not have enough seating for the 30 participants in inclement weather - not something I would do again. In St Johns, we skipped the tours and took a taxi and went to the beach - Trunk Bay was gorgeous.

Azamara really excells in the F&B department. The food was excellent, They have added new Chef specials at dinner, including one that mirrors the international theme of the Windows Cafe Buffet. In addition, they now offer 2 red wines and 2 white wines complimentary - the wine selections change daily and we found them to be very good. The wait staff will keep your wine glass full if you are not careful! The service was never rushed and the courses seemed to flow very nicely. One night we paid the $30 upcharge and dined in Aqulina - I had Dover Sole and it was exceptional.

For a smaller ship, we found the entertainment to be very good. There is also a small casino which was enjoyable. Overall, we had a great time. We booked another Azamara cruise while on board to take advantage of the on board booking specials. Check them out - we saved quite a bit.

Cabin Review

Club Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Cabin VX

The Azamara cabins are small but very functional. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings in excellent condition. The bathrooms are very small. Closet space is adequate, but tight for 2 people. The veranda is nice, but my experience is they tend to be wet when it is windy. Cabin staff were very efficient.
