We've sailed Royal about a dozen times but were very disappointed with this cruise. There was no attention to detail. The food was boring and mediocre at best. Desserts? Jello and pudding every night. Nothing fancy; nothing sugar free. Little or nothing to do at sea except play bingo, drink, go to the pool. Near the end of the cruise, there was a couple of line dancing classes and napkin folding. We were bombarded by the NextCruise people; book, book, book. The ports were fine. Let's face it; the Caribbean is the Caribbean. We booked a river tubing excursion. What they didn't tell you is that you'd be in the old, smelly bus for approx. 3-1/2 of those 5 hours -- and, had the passengers not been paying attention, we would have left 3 people at the last stop. Everyone who went tubing got bruised. The water was really too low. Lastly, the new Vroom internet is a joke. It was hard to do anything before 9:30 PM at night, and even then, I was thrown off the internet one night and could not get back on. There was a movie theater. They showed the same show all day -- no variety. So, on sea days, if you wanted to watch more than one show, you were out of luck. Overall, it was nice being at sea for 10 days, but I would never book on the Serenade again. There are many, many better ships for the same money.

Really Disappointing

Cabin Review

Cabin
The room was fine. The bed, however, was so uncomfortable, I could not sleep. It felt like there was a bar going down the center of the bed. You could not lay on your back, nor could you sleep on your side. The cabin steward put a pad on the bed. It was OK, but after 10 days, I was anxious to sleep on a real bed.
