We have cruised before but though we would try a larger Ship.....choose NCL mistake.. We got the  feeling that there may have been a health problem, as we had our hands sprayed everytime we got on & off the ship also going into all the resturants also sprays were in all lifts, & staff alll wore disposable gloves.this lasted the whole of the cruise also salt & pepper were only put on the table 3 days before we left the shipMust admit we had a rude awakening when going into the Garden Cafe the first time.. free for all.. this was a Buffet but you were unable to help yourself the staff served you everything, my husband went to pick up his plate & cutlery  got told off. this situation meant that you had to wait if  you wanted a drink wait food wait drink wait, to try & find a place to sit & eat, trays were not provided  so liquid being spilt, an accident waiting to happen....so by the time you got to eat your food it was cold..Think the biggest complaint we had about this cruise was the FOOD  certainly not up to the standard of other cruise lines we have been on.We paid extra to go to Mamma Mia Italian Food, we thought that as this was a quiet small that the food would be cooked fresh NO pre-cooked my husband sent the main course much to the surpise of the staff & again not Hot.Also other resturants had cover charge ranging from 10$ to 25$ per personIf you like a lay-in in the morning Breakfast can be a challange as Tsar's Palace closes at 9-30am so it the Garden Cafe again .We used to eat in the Azure in the evening if no tables , you were given a monitor that would flash when a table became available , seem to work quiet well .All drinks had a 15% addded.. even if you just wanted a bottle of water, anything you brought was plus 15% changing money at reception 15%...$$$is everything Must say our Stateroom was fine with a balcony ,The bed was comfy and there was always plenty of hot water.. But I would say take your own Tea-bags, they supply  Liptons .Well we have tried a larger ship & out verdict...no more NCl

We were docked within walking distance of about a dozen local shops ,  you could but items in Euro's so you did'nt have to change currency .You are also about a 10min walk from the Little Mermaid  & you can get a local bus to take to into town so you dont really need the NCL tour as the bus is about 5mins from the ship & drops you back at the same place.Really interesting wind farm,NIce to see the local Trams as well as buses

Did'nt go on a tour , but this was a very pretty place to stop, we watched the local ferries crossing from one side to the other & the local boat enthusiasts sailing & waving to us. so we sat  & watched the world go bye, and were able to sit & eat our lunch in the Garden Cafe in comfort the one & only time.

Day 1..Always wanted to go here , but the biggest problem was getting off the ship our Tour should have left at 8-45 am because  of the delay  with custom & passport control we got on the coach at 11-50 am , we were lucky we were inside waiting, the first group of people were outside in the cold, listerning to the Russian Brass Band who i must admit were still playing when we left the ship 3 hours later.   We went a river boat which would have been nicer if it had been longer  , when we wereon the coach it was nice to see how much green parks & avenue's of trees there were   On returning to the ship people were talking about the delay in getting off & said that NCL must have known about the delay as they had been there the on the previous cruise, it would have been nice to have been told that there will be a delay..DAY 2.        Dreaded this morning having to wait again...but no off the ship & through Cutoms in about 25 mins   . this time for a full day trip to Cathrine's Palace  with its history  it gardens .. Cathral of Spilled Blood  with it wonderful mosaics.Must say our guide Nina ,was excellent. There are plenty of places to buy items to bring home & the stall- holders were all taking Euro'sOn board that night after we had sailed , Russian Goods were sold, similar you had seen ashore perhaps more grand & of course plus that 15%  .If you brought any Vodka ashore you were not aloud to have it until the night before you left the ship that applied to any alcohol brought ashore , as when you returned to the ship you went through a scanner

Would recommend  The Vasa Museum  wonderful 17th  ship, sunk on its maiden voyage, but has been rescued & now on display with all the items that were found with it.( has it own web-site)Stockholm itself was very  green pretty & clean. This  was the only place that when you paid in Euro's they gave you the change back in local konia'sThis was the most enjoyable exit of any of the ports past all the small Islands with trees & houses ,for at least 3 hours

This was a  new dock built 2004 , went on NCL tour, before you get back on board there is are some little wooden houses where you can buy various items. Tallinn is quiet a small country, we were taken to one on there beaches fine white sand & a flock of Swans on the sea, we thought this was strage . but apparentley there is little salt in the Baltic Sea..Once again Local Trams & buses
