We chose this cruise as birthday gift for husband, who wanted to transit Panama Canal, but this ship is now looking vey old inside and is needing a refit. Unfortunately as this is happening just before World Cruise, I feel we got the last of the awful bits, before refurb is done.

Main restaurant food well below expectations and more often than not cold, vegetables same every night, little choice. Even on formal nights nothing really special, they seem to think putting lobster on the menu is special. Not in this day and age. Chef needs to upgrade his thinking and maybe think out of the box sometime. Can't imagine how a world cruise dining plan will go,

Speaking to other cruisers who have been on other 5/6 star ships, they were also of the opinion Silversea is not keeping up, and I think it's needing a complete rethink, was thinking of booking the new ship but not now, will give others a go.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

In need of a complete refurb, very tatty indeed.

Not luxury now, by any means.

So sorry to have to say this.
