Great time of the year weather wise. Be sure to pre-order tickets to visit Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. In Madeira we had an excellent tour in a van. There were 6 of us and the price was very reasonable.

Because the ship is small , only a little over 750 passengers, the feeling is more of a big family. If you are looking for the bigger gym etc this is not the ship for you. We loved it because it had what we wanted and we never felt like we were just another passenger. My husband used the gym every day at sea. Lots of fun trivia games which we enjoyed.

Entertainment was really good including the dance band and the piano man. We tend to use the stairs a lot, but some passengers wished there were more elevators. Holland America added more cabins after they bought it. I think the ship originally was built for around 600 passengers. We had a little over 750. There were a lot of repeat passengers which says a lot.

Deluxe Verandah Ocean-View Stateroom

Cabin A

This section was added on when the ship was redone after Holland America bought it so it rattled a bit but overall it was a great location .

Port Reviews

Lisbon

We walked the city, visiting the fort..a must for it views. Cost 5 Eurostar for seniors.Very steep hills so use a cab at least one way. Great views also from the catheral. You can climb up and go outside. Cost was 5 Euros..worth it.

Madeira (Funchal)

Went with 2 other couples and rented a van for 4 hours..absolutely the best way to see the surrounding areas. Forget about taking the sledding unless you book a head. Long lines and cost 15 Euros a person. We followed someone down in our van. Looked fun but not disappointed we did not do it. maybe next time.

Cartagena (Spain)

Took walking tour. Be ready to walk a lot. Hilly so be sure u can handle that

Barcelona

We got our own tickets for visiting the Catheral
