Cabin: Inside Stateroom

I chose this cruise due to a group of 6 friends choosing it first! Also, this was mom's 75th birthday present cruise.

Embarkation went pretty well since I got to enjoy the Gold & Platinum line for the first time. We were dropped off from the FLL shuttle at the ship and were eating less than 30 min later. . . the way it should be!

The ship itself was amazing. Very well laid out although the odd cabin numbering took getting accustomed to when we first boarded. My only complaint is that smoke from the casino wafts through to floors 6, 7, and 8 where the atrium is open. I know ventilation is insanely complex on ships this size, so I know it's not an easy fix.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin IX

The inside cabin was just right for 2 people. I'm very happy that they didn't copy the odd bathroom design from the Epic and it was actually bigger than most cruise ship bathrooms I've ever been on. This was the first cruise I've ever been on where I never met the cabin steward. He kept it clean and did what he was suppose to do (my only call was to empty the mini-bar and it was done by the 2nd day). Not necessarily a good or bad thing not meeting him, just odd. I think the new 'occupied' lights were the reason.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Too many people. Suddenly, Freeport looks like a good option!

Tortola

Nice, but under construction, not a lot to do within walking distance.

St. Thomas

Very very clear water here, good place to scuba dive or snorkel.

Miami

Amazing how well traffic is handled even with 5 ships embarking at once.
