I am an avid cruiser, and I'm not fond of the small ships, as this is, but I loved this cruise. The atmosphere was like a family. We were there for volunteer trip to the Dominican Republic. Everyone was there to volunteer and help. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I loved the antique look and feel of the ship. The cost was remarkable as well as the experience. The cabin was wonderful - bigger and more comfortable than cabins I've had on larger ships. I ate in the dining room every night. The food wasn't bad although it was better on some days than others. This was not an entertainment cruise, although the daily Salsa/Merengue/Bachata dance classes were so much fun. The gym was small and the salon employees could use some improvement, but the other staff overcame their shortcomings. My cabin steward was the best I've seen, always responsive and making sure my room was clean and free of mess, even folding my clothes which was laid out over the couch.

The excursions were the volunteer activities, which were so rewarding it's difficult to understand why we aren't charged for them. I could not ask for a better cruise. I will be going again; and am very distressed it will be discontinued at the end of the summer.

Cabin Review

Cabin Porthole

Great cabin - nice size. big window. They came with toiletries, including a sewing kit and bath cap, in addition to lotion, shampoo and conditioner.
