Sail Date: Nov 2016
Cabin: Balcony

Our room had a smell from plumbing. The rooms were nicely decorated but we're generally old and needed refreshing. Food was mixed. Some was great and some inedible (prime rib, for example). Wait staff was great but overworked. Coffee was low quality but due to overworked status of the wait staff, it was not offered at dinner anyway. There were way too many kids on the ship.

Good entertainment but some parents took babies to shows that were very loud. The babies were holding their ears. Carnival might do well to put a warning to parents who are too stupid to protect the children on their own. No doubt these children will have hearing loss as adults. Better yet, prohibit children under a certain age from attending loud performances. It was very sad to see a child of 18 months or so holding her ears due to the loud decibel level.

We went with friends and they were upgraded but we were not offered the same. This felt arbitrary. We thought that upgrading 3 cabins and not upgrading the 4th member of the group reflected carelessness on the part of Carnival for not offering the same to us.

Cabin 8A

Nice decoration but somewhat old. Balcony had rust and windows were dirty.
