We chose this cruise because we wanted to go snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez. We found a wonderful price deal and stayed with the lowest prince - an interior cabin on an upper deck.
Both embarkation and disembarkation were fast and easy - we just walked on and off simply with no lines or hassles. The ship was beautiful and very easy to get around, with minimal waits by the elevators. We are seniors, and I was most impressed by the freedom the cruise ship offered for people with disabilities such as walkers and Amigos. It really felt good to know that if we got older and needed this kind of equipment - we could still go and have a great time!!! For frequent travelers like us, this was a wonderful thing!
The cabin was mirrored in such a way that it felt large and, when the lights were dim, even gave the illusion of a window somehow. It was very comfortable, and there was lots of room for our clothes and personal belongings. TV was great and there were lots of interesting and informative programs.
Cabin had a queen-size, comfortable bed with easy access from both sides, nighttables and lamps. There was plenty of storage space and closet space. Bathroom and bath amenities were good. Although it was fairly small, because of the extensive mirroring, we did not feel at all confined and were comfortable in the cabin. We had breakfast in bed every day, and in the late evening watched interesting and educational programming on TV.
We used the streetcar and went to Old Town San Diego - lovely area of shops and restaurants with beautiful plants and flowers and music. Had a great time!
We loved just seeing the port! It's HUGE! Next time, we will arrive early and be sure to take a harbor tour of San Pedro harbor. We learned that there are such tours and it would have been great!
