I wish we could rate them with 4+1/2 stars ! We choose this cruise because of the sailing dates, ports of call and a promotional offer for alcohol package :-) It was the first cruise for my husband (I've cruised twice before). We both agreed that our cruise was at the least very enjoyable and satisfying. We would have rated it 5 star however, the pools and hot tubs were always over crowded. Also, the other water activities were crowded as well. We tried several times of the day with no exception.

The room service was outstanding! The balcony room was a bit tight but to be expected to some degree. Showers were always hot. But, TV choices, blah!

The fitness area was large and readily available.

The buffet was excellent with many choices for breakfast, lunch and or dinner. We dined at all but 2 of the specialty restaurants on board. Our favorite, without a doubt, was SAVOR. The service was "OUTSTANDING". We even met the Maitre D', Mr. Chandra Muttam. He had been alerted to our anniversary celebration and came over to congratulate us. He toasted us with complimentary glasses of champagne. That was service above and beyond !

The Jazz club on board was excellent! The entertainment offered was superb! There was always interactive entertainment going on in the atrium, the rear deck or one to the clubs. Their mojito bar was excellent! The margarita bars was as well. I think we visited ever bar on board. One negative for us was walking thru public smoking areas such as the casino. Another so, so experience was the excursions which just ok.

We would not hesitate for a second in returning to cruise on the Norwegian Getaway. However, we plan to try a different ship in their fleet due to the experience with the rather small pools, 2 for adults and and kiddie pool (looked very nice).

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom
Cabin BX 10816

Satisfactory for the two of us. However, whenever we were in the room, we found that the same TV programs repeated.

Snorkeling

Great experience but a windy day resulting in somewhat cloudy water.

Teresa was an "Outstanding" tour guide. The bus ride, the ruins and the return river boat ride was just ok.

The water was much colder than expected which limited out time in the water. The gift shops were way overpriced for the goods. The lunch offered left us wanting to get back to the ship to eat !

Passion Isle.....See port 3 remarks.

Cozumel

Prices were much better and more negotiable. Plenty of live entertainment for tips. Some good bargains for a good haggler.
