I was traveling with a group (14) of adults with special needs. The Breakaway staff were great when it came to accommodating our needs and generally were helpful. They went above and beyond to included the members of my group in all the activities. They were engaging and friendly at activities and meals. We spoke with the manager in charges of the buffet and they reserved seats for our group every morning. The shore excursion desk went to no end to set us up with a great tour and comped one ticket.

Although I went to both Savor and Taste the first night on the cruise and attempted to make reservations for the week and was told the only reservations that could be made would be 530 or 930 and any other time we would need to wait but the wait would not be long. The 2nd night of our cruise I went to Savor and was told they could not accommodate us at all and we would need to wait several hours to be seated. We proceeded to the Manhattan Room where were seated immediately. The maître Dee Ashish sat us and gave me his card and said to call ahead and he would seat us immediately. The one evening I did not call was a disaster. We were taken to the wrong side of the restaurant and then sat at a table with no water glasses and not bread plates though we were served bread. Once I brought it to staffs attraction that we were missing water glasses and bread plates we were promptly given water glasses. It was not until I made and issue of it a 2nd time that we received plates. Later in the meal we were asked if we wanted more bread I said "no" so they brought more bread.

I did find that on the cruise the immediate answer to simple requests was "no". On the first morning I stood in the omelet line and asked for jalapeño on my omelet and they said "no" though at all other meals in the buffet they have jalapeños. One evening I went to the buffet they had apples, pears and another fruit out I asked for a banana and was told "no" the fruit that is out is all you can have. I watched Sunday night football in one O'Shean's bar and was sitting with a friend drinking water which automatically eliminates any level of service you would expect. After asking numerous time to have my water glass filled and receiving the seemingly obligatory eye roll I asked can you just leave the picture of water I was again told "no" call room service they will bring you water.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Average port downtown New York nothing fancy

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

There is very little readily available at this port and need to book some sort of transportation to get to the beach or stores. We used 888 taxi and Jon was amazingly helpful.
