Traveled on a few Carnival cruises...4...of our 14 cruises have been on Carnival. Chose this cruise line for the kids activities..and the southern Caribbean itinerary. It was VERY noticeable that the level and quality of the service has extremely deteriorated since our last Carnival Cruise. We were not alone. In speaking with others on our cruise, we all had the same impression.that "something has happened" to Carnival. It started when we were met at our cabin by the steward who handed us a card to fill out...would we like AM or PM service...or Both? We thought that odd. He also gave us his business card..and if we needed anything, we could call him .Odd...We next saw him on the AM that we disembarked..a young lady was taking care of our room..and she introduced herself as the stewards assistant. Not that we lacked anything mind you..just got the impression that instead of 10 rooms to do ..they now had 20.

That same impression of severe staff cuts came into the Lido buffet. Overcrowded and waiting 20-25 minutes in line each time. Like herded cattle. ..constantly running out of plates and silverware..and the line stops..nobody was watching. We had to find someone many..MANY times to replenish coffee, plates, silverware, and cold drinks. so may times that we joked about it.

The dining room. Our seating was at 6PM ..we were ALWAYS on time. We'd sit maybe 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. We RARELY received our main dish before 7:10PM..this is seating at 6PM..Certainly not the servers fault..they were all breaking out into a sweat...but the food was coming up so very VERY slow. One night there was a problem, with orders in the kitchen..and we got up and left the dining room...still had not received our main dish by 7:40PM..AFTER SITTING AT 6pm

Curacao

Traveled through the town on our own...ship docks within easy walking distance of the main drag...interested shops and crafts to buy.

Aruba

Did Eagle Beach on our own. Bus was $5.00 round trip from near where the ship docked..about 15 minute bus ride.,..and the buses run every 20 minutes...no problems at all..getting to/from the most beautiful beach!!
