Loved the ports of call & a very busy 12 days with not too many days at sea so got to experience so much of the wonderful ports of call in the Mediterranean. The service staff were fantastic & to hear "washy...washy... happy...happy " always made me smile. As a solo traveller, I welcomed the solo get together. It was a great opportunity to meet up to socialize and met great people from all parts of the world.
Some of the ports of call & the excursions I took were full days with a packed itinerary (i.e. Capri, Sorrento & Pompeii).... in the future, I hope to come back and revisit in a more relaxed way or miss areas that I felt that I experienced enough.
If I ate earlier in the evenings in the "free-style" dining rooms, the food was fresher but later in the evening, most of the time the dinners were dry & tasted like it was in the steamer too long. On the days, that I ate later, the buffet was the better choice since the food seemed fresher. I also enjoyed the size of the ship & its amenities & good choice of various bars, lounges & entertainment options.
Good history
Spent the day on my own, walking the town & stopping for lunch by the harbour. As this was the last day, wanted to relax
Beautiful place & easy to walk around & explore the town. Great lunch at a restaurant by the sea
Had a great day walking around the day before with beautiful sunny weather but unfortunately, the day of departure, it rained so decided to go to the cruise ship earlier. It was a great time of year since apparently, the streets are very crowded during peak season. I experienced crowds & this was low season!!
